We relaxed...

I picked Brea' up from work of Friday and we drove straight down to North Carolina to visit with my father, brother and neices and newphew. We decided against going to the beach house this time because we were scared the back roads would have been iced over.

Friday night Brea, my dad, my step-mom Diane, Stevie and myself, we all ordered pizza, my favorite, and watched movies all night long. We woke up Saturday morning to the smell of bacon, eggs, pototoes and homemade cheese biscuits. It was delicious! Diane has always been a great cook though.

We went over to my brother's house later that afternoon to visit with him, Maddy my 4 year old neice and the twins. Jenny, his wife, was at work all day so we really didn't get to visit with her too much. We had originally planned to come home that afternoon, but my dad kind-a pulled me and Brea aside and told us that he was really enjoying our company and that this was like a vacation to him because he's always working... I couldn't leave then!
About an hour later my mother pulls up! She had driven down to spend some time with my brother's family! It was a nice surprise! I think it was the first time I had my mom, dad, brother, wife, Maddy and the twins in the same house together since I was 12! You know, without my parents' other spouses, which sometimes makes me nervous when their in the same room together. The bad thing was I didn't have a camera. I left the damn thing in our van back at my dad's house, and nobody else had one either! I wanted to throw a fit cause I couldn't take a picture, but I didn't want everyone to get suspisious as to what I was up to. So, I savored every minute in my mind. It was nice.

We left and went back to my dad's. That evening Brea' and I took Dad and Diane out to dinner as a late birthday treat from us. He's always forking over the bill for everything, so I had to sneak past him to ensure myself that I WAS GOING to pay for this meal, if it WAS THE LAST THING I DO! It worked! After dinner, we went back to his house and watched movies again all night. It's something we all enjoy doing.

Got up yesturday and had sausage gravy with buscuits with Diane, drove over to my brother's and said bye to everyone, and we were on our way home.

It's a new week, and we have to prepare for the show at the Norva this week. We also have shows on Friday and Saturday night so we all better rest up.

The weekend's almost here!

Yesturday was a reall good day. I woke up with Brea', took her to work and went over to my mother's house to spend the day with her, it was her birthday. We had a birthday breakfast and watched some T.V. and laughed and gossiped about the family, she opened her gift and card, which she loved. We got her something she really needed, a DVD stand. We even had a little snow to top her birthday off with!

Tomorrow we are supposed to take a little break and drive to our beach house. I don't really know what the weekend is going to hold for us, depending on the weather. They are now saying it's going to snow again and again and the roads are going to be bad. We have to get down there though, I have to get my dad's gift to him! Everytime we get ready to go, the damn roads freeze over! Not saying I won't be upset if we don't go, cause I LOVE our little getaway, we will still have a wonderful weekend off just curled up together on the couch or in the bed watching movies!

We have practice tonight, to prepare for our show coming up at the Norva. I need to figure out what we're having for dinner...

It's Monday...

We had a really good weekend. Friday night at H2O's was pretty packed. It was a really active and fun crowd of poeple, not to mention some of my closest friends were there. Kim and Chris cam and brought Chris' sister, Sarah, out to see the show and to meet us. She and her brother looked like they could have been twins. During the break Jizz, Crystal, Kim and I went out to the van to get some "fresh air", and talked about things that had been going on.

It was unusual not to have played on Saturday night. Once again, I was sitting in front of the television right at 8pm to catch Cops, cause I love that show and ALWAYS miss it, just to find a damn football game on! OOOOOOOOOOOH! I wasn't happy, needless to say, so Brea and I stayed up and played San Andreas on the Playstation! It was almost like Cops, close enough anyways!

Now, I must pay a bill, then clean this house from top to bottom for my wife and kid. That's a typical Monday for me, and glad to say, I love it!

The show for tonight 1-12-05 has been cancelled!

Sorry to all of you who have called to see if we were playing. Unfortunately the bar is having electrical problems. Everything should be fine by next wednesday night. You can still get your That Girl Band fix friday night at H2O'S. We will see you there. Oh yeah I will have tickets to the Norva show with me on friday. Love ya!

This past weekend.

I realized a few different things over the course of this past weekend.

#1- I am in love... and have been for a long time, with Brea'.
#2- I only have room in my life for one kid, Stevie, the little angel...
#3- There is nothing written anywhere in the world that says people have to like me, nor do I have to like them, primarily because they just want to cause drama problems. ( so we'll just stay out of each other's lives, that's O.K. to do ya know)
#4- I get my mouth from my momma! I have to control my words... the last thing I want to do is run off the few poeple I truly care about, trust and respect.

Yesturday my neice Sabrina spent the day with me. She is getting ready for some college classes and needed to brush up on her math skills. It was a lot simpler than we had anticipated and got it done and over with fairly quickly. Then we just talked and laughed... see we have a WHOLE lot in common when it comes to certain things. Our personalities are almost identical!

It's a new day and a new week, let's see what happens. I can say this, I am sick of trouble...
but I can handle it, I think! No, I can! Just watch, there will be no trouble!

Wednesday night was the best!

You guys are the best! Last night we played the Sabor Latino Cafe' & Lounge(formally the little creek inn). We didn't know how things would be. Well let me tell ya, that place rocks! Maria is back and they have the best wait staff. Thank you to all of the T.G.B.O.G's who came out and gave the place a chance. You guys are the BEST! Also thank you to our new friends who saw TGB for the first time. They are finishing up with the remodeling this week. The place looks great already. One thing is still the same and that is Ya'll be trying to get us F**ked up! I know Angela and Carrie are hurting today. I am sure some of you are too. It's ok you have one week to recover. We will be back next wednesday.

It's a new year!

Well, it's now 2005, and back to work! It was all in all a great year for me. I am very thankful for everything in my life and thankful for all the new and wonderful poeple and things I learned throughout the year. I have thought about what my New Year's resolution could and should be, and that is to really watch my temper, and to just stay focused on everything I am trying to accomplish.

We were in Hopewell all this past weekend, at Michael's. Friday night we played and partied all night long! We had a wonderful time! They even gave us a cute little framed poster for the band as a Christmas gift. Brea' Henry and I were toasting with everyone in the place I think, if I remember correctly! Our good friends Kim and Chris drove up there all the way from Newport News to spend New Year's with their favorite girls, us! They also brought with them a poster Chris had made of me. It was from a shot he took from a show at the Norva the last time we played. It it bad ass! I couldn't believe it, me on a poster! It looks so cool! After the show they came back to the hotel and stayed with us the rest of the night in the room. We stayed up talking and laughing till we finally passed out, just to wake up and start all over again!

Later that day Brea and I were invited to a Chinese luncheon with the owner of the bar, Cindy, her sweet and pregnant daughter, Jennifer, and our good and very hilarious friend, Sylvia. I think we talked and laughed about all sorts of things more than we ate! It made Brea and I feel a little better because we were relly hung over and needed to get out of the hotel for a bit.

We didn't have to play on Saturday night but were invited back by the entire bar, staff and patrons, to come back to hang out a party for a while, since every other time we go there we're working. So Brea', Teresa and I went up there and were treated like queens! Cindy, Bert, Sylvia, Duck, Warren... everybody made sure we were taken care of and having a great time! We ended up staying all night long dancing and laughing it up. I can't wait for the next time we go there. It really is always a pleasure to go there and to be around the poeple.

Gotta do some other stuff, talk to you soon!
